Why is gwen following me

Gwen: "Thanks for finding my flute. Oh no! It's broken! Now I'm going to have to get a new one. Can I follow you? Gwen: "I think I'm going to follow you. Buy a flute from the merchant for 4. Gwen: "Can I have that shiny new flute? Its so beautiful. I bet it plays pretty music. Gwen will then stand in one place playing her flute even if you move away. Select her again, and she will say "Ok, I'll wait here.

She will then have another quest marker over her head. If you select it, she says:. Gwen: "Ok, I think I'll follow you" and resumes her normal skipping and whirling. The first time you speak to her, she will give you the Gwen's Flute quest in which you need to find her lost flute. If you complete the quest she will want to follow you in your adventures. She is a very useful sidekick as she is never targeted by enemies and can heal you for 20 HP when your health is down.

Speak to her to have her follow you and speak to her again to have her wait. If you have any of the items you can give her, she will ask for one of them instead.

If she is following you, she will be waiting for you anytime you enter an explorable area with the exception of the Catacombs and The Northlands but if you log out or if you enter Ascalon City she will return to her original location. You may also give any of the following gifts to Gwen to make her more attached to you: a flute, a cape, or some flowers:.

Once Gwen likes you enough, she will give you her most prized possession, a Tapestry Shred. You do not need to buy the more expensive cape. Give it a try. Make sure, if you have more than one flower, to drop all the extras to give her the cape and to receive your shred.

Not doing the broken flute quest shouldn't have any ramifications. I once helped a lvl19 char with getting this quest by making a new pre-char, and getting the quest BEFORE teaming up with that lvl19 char or anyone else. One the weirdest things in this game, a contagious "virus like" bug that messes up this quest. Yea I skipped the quest for now, I will check it out on a new char. I'm currently trying to do all the quests I can do in these campaigns and after that I hope I know enough about the game to start working on the hall of monuments Quote:.
