Indigo children are identified because they are born with more empathy than past generations. You feel more than other people.
You cry when movies are sad and belly laugh when they are funny. Whatever emotion you are feeling in the current moment, you feel it fully. At times, you struggle with being a pushover. This same sensitivity to the feelings of others causes problems in situations where there may be conflict. You struggled in school. Take an indigo child who is struggling in a traditional school into a less structured school and they will thrive.
For them to be successful, they have to be somewhat self-directed. One of the main indicators of an indigo child is someone born with a much higher than normal sense of curiosity.
Indigo children want to understand everything. Especially for children, this can be a hard time of learning how to trust your instincts.
We have witnessed many Indigos deep in depression , low self-esteem, addictions, and even suicide. So strong is this governing battering ram, it can turn inward when they are unable to create the changes they are adamant need to be made. The worst outcome for an Indigo is to be ignored or mocked… for their perception is hawk-like and they are able to foresee the pitfalls and are compelled to drive change at massive levels.
Indigo adults should find others like them in these situations and form support groups or know that there are others out there struggling too. Of the most blessed attributes of the Indigo Children is their integrity.
They carry it within and can sense when others are dishonest. They may not always see this as a gift, for the world can be corrupt and indifferent. Crystal children, Rainbow children, and Star children are all different manifestations or variations of Indigos. Crystal children are believed to be the offspring of Indigos, while a Starseed is the overarching term for a soul from another part of the universe who has been incarnated here on Earth.

Sandie Bershad says she's always felt different than other kids and generally prefers the company of adults.
